This Privacy Policy explains how PocketToolsLab handles information in its applications and on the official PocketToolsLab website where applicable.

This policy describes what information may be processed, how it is used, how long it is retained and which choices are available to users.

Unless a specific product states otherwise, this policy applies to all applications published by PocketToolsLab.

This Privacy Policy currently applies to:

  • PortAero Codes

Future PocketToolsLab applications will be added to this list when they are published.

Information We Collect

PocketToolsLab aims to collect as little information as possible.

PortAero Codes does not require a PocketToolsLab account.

PocketToolsLab does not directly collect or store payment-card information.

Google Play may process information related to application installation, distribution and updates.

Google Play Billing may process purchase information required to complete and restore Premium purchases.

Additional information may be processed by an advertising provider when advertisements are enabled. The applicable provider and its processing practices will be identified in this policy before the application is publicly released.

PocketToolsLab does not sell personal information.

Permissions

PocketToolsLab applications request only permissions required for their documented functionality.

The exact permissions depend on the application and are described within the application or on its product page where appropriate.

PortAero Codes uses Android mechanisms to open a selected location in the user's preferred maps application. If no compatible application is available, the location may be opened in a web browser.

The final permission list will be verified against the released application before publication.

Offline and Locally Stored Data

PortAero Codes uses an offline-first design.

On first launch, the application downloads the required airport and port reference datasets and stores them in a local database on the user's device.

After the initial download, searches and normal usage can operate without an internet connection.

Favorites, filters, sorting preferences, custom locations and downloaded reference data may be stored locally.

PocketToolsLab does not upload locally stored application data unless a documented feature explicitly requires it and the user initiates or authorizes the action.

Data Retention

Locally stored application data remains on the user's device until:

  • the user removes the relevant data;
  • the application clears or replaces it as part of normal operation;
  • the user clears the application's storage;
  • the application is uninstalled.

PocketToolsLab does not retain this locally stored application data on external PocketToolsLab servers.

Third-party providers may retain information according to their own policies when their services are used.

Third-Party Services

PocketToolsLab applications currently use third-party services where applicable for distribution and purchases, including:

  • Google Play;
  • Google Play Billing.

PortAero Codes may also use an advertising service to display a single banner advertisement in the free version.

The advertising provider must be named in this policy before the public release.

No planned analytics, crash-reporting or advertising integration is treated as active until it is actually included in the released application.

Advertising

The free version of PortAero Codes is intended to display one non-intrusive banner advertisement.

The advertisement must not interrupt normal application use.

Applications offering the Premium upgrade remove banner advertisements after purchase.

An advertising provider may process device, advertising or interaction information according to its own privacy policy and the user's available consent choices.

The provider and applicable privacy link will be added before public release.

Premium Purchases

Premium is a one-time purchase.

Premium removes banner advertisements only.

All application features remain available in the free version.

The purchase is processed through Google Play Billing.

PocketToolsLab does not receive or store the user's payment-card information.

PocketToolsLab uses subscriptions only when an application genuinely depends on ongoing online services with recurring operational costs.

PortAero Codes does not require a subscription.

External Data Sources

PortAero Codes uses third-party airport and port reference datasets.

Current sources include:

  • OurAirports for airport reference data;
  • United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations (UN/LOCODE) for port and location reference data.

These datasets remain the property of their respective publishers.

Source links, attribution requirements and applicable terms will be maintained on the PortAero Codes product page and in the PocketToolsLab legal documentation where required.

Children's Privacy

PocketToolsLab applications are not specifically directed toward children.

If you believe information involving a child has been processed unintentionally, contact PocketToolsLab using the contact information published on the official website.

Your Choices

Users may:

  • uninstall an application at any time;
  • clear or remove locally stored application data using available application or Android controls;
  • choose whether to purchase Premium;
  • manage advertising choices where supported by the advertising provider or device settings;
  • contact PocketToolsLab with privacy questions.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when applications, integrations or legal requirements change.

The latest version is published on the official PocketToolsLab website.

The Last Updated date at the beginning of this document identifies the most recent revision.
